Rabia Rahou

Rabia Rahou

an independent filmmaker, designer, and director based in Montreal.
Konu originates from a novel written by Rabia and later adapted by him into a feature-length animated screenplay. This dual authorship ensures a unified vision across narrative, structure, and visual language, from concept to screen.
Rabia has worked internationally across feature films, animation, and visual effects, contributing as a senior artist and supervisor on large-scale productions in Canada and Japan. His experience spans cinematic storytelling, concept design, lighting, and visual development for both animation and live-action pipelines.

Recent work spans AAA video game cinematics and feature films for Square Enix and Disney, including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Young Woman and the Sea.
Earlier credits include work on major studio productions such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Aquaman, Maleficent, and Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Alongside his studio work, Rabia wrote and directed The Last Forest, an animated featurette that is gaining international traction during its festival debut in 2026, marking his transition into director-driven original IP.

Konu is developed as a director-driven animated feature, conceived with production realities in mind: controlled scope, strong art direction, and a scalable pipeline suited for international co-production. The project reflects Rabia’s focus on original IPs that combine philosophical depth with cinematic ambition.
