Rabia Rahou is an independent filmmaker, designer, and director based in Montreal. He is the director of <em>The Last Forest</em>, an auteur animated film he created and developed over several years, and for which he originated both the narrative and visual universe.<br><br>Founder of Roji Films, Rabia Rahou develops original projects driven by a unified creative vision, where writing, directing, and visual development are closely intertwined. <em>The Guardians of the Forest</em> follows this artistic continuity, introducing a new television project inspired by the universe he has created.<br><br>His career includes supervising lighting and compositing in animation and visual effects (VFX) on animated feature films, as well as on major blockbuster productions, including Marvel titles, and narrative AAA video games, in both Japan and Canada.

The Last Forest

The trailer for the animated film The Last Forest, a 33-minute film, is presented as a reference to illustrate a fully realized universe and a mature artistic approach. The film is currently on the international festival circuit and has already received positive recognition, including an Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles Animation Festival (LAAF).

The series is built on a proven production pipeline, developed and tested over several years during the creation of the animated film The Last Forest. This pipeline is rooted in traditional 2D animation expertise, enhanced through the integration of recent technologies, allowing for a balance between artistic ambition, production efficiency, and visual consistency.

Artists at Roji Films have already begun an initial phase of artistic exploration for The Guardians of the Forest, notably through the visual development of the three main characters. These early explorations help establish the aesthetic and narrative foundations of the series, as part of a pre-development phase.
